Hello fellow blog followers. Whew, it has been quite some time since I have last wrote on here. In the time since I have last blogged so much has happened. I want to first tell you little about my calling really quick. I know that I have been called into missions, and through missions I will be working and teaching children. I know that at some point in my life I will be moving to a third world country, I am just not sure which one yet.
Anywho. My heart has been set on fire for Africa, and man has my heart just been burning. Ever since this passion and drive to help Africa has entered my life I have been chasing after this book. (Which I finally got ahold of!!) It is called, Living a life of fire, by Reinhard Bonnke. He is an evangelist that has a major heart for God and for Africa. “Africa shall be saved,” Bonnke says. I started reading it, and I have reached chapter 6 within an hour. The heart that Bonnke has for God is so beautiful and so amazing. Reading this book just makes me want to get up and dance around and cry. So many emotions flow through my body, and I don’t even know what to do with myself.
Reading all of these encounters that Bonnke has had with the Lord is just absolutely amazing. His great grandfather was extremely sick with no cure. No doctor could make him better. Nothing was working. Then a man by the name of Luis Graf was traveling through the towns of Germany and ended up getting lost. He entered a town that he had never heard of and felt God’s presence and Luis was told by God that someone needed healing. After Luis was told that someone was very sick and did need healing by a man that lived in that town he heard a yell. “Aaaaaaaaaagh.” Bonnke’s great grandfather was in so much pain, and the people of this town could hear his screams from the pain all across town. Luis was taken to Bonnke’s great grandfather and Luis said that Bonnke’s great grandfather would stand and be healed in the name of Jesus. He jumped up and danced around, hugged his wife, and cried. A man that had no cure from the doctors was set free and healed by the Jesus Christ.
Being able to read these stories and just learn about Bonnke and his experiences are absolutely amazing. Reading this book so far has already moved me and set my heart on fire. I guess the point of me writing this blog was to just say that I want to know God. I want to know him so much more then I already do. I never want to stop wondering, or learning or thirsting.
I’m ready to live a life of fire. Are you?
Leah you never cease to earn my respect and to keep me going! That's awesome :)
