Reading, Learning, and Wanting.

Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny--he has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are not here accidentally--you are here meaningfully. There is a purpose behind you.

Hello blogging friends and followers. It's Thursday, but it seems as though this week is going by very slowly. I can't wait for it to just be Friday! Anyways, I have been in a reading mood lately. I just want to read, all the time, wherever I may be. Through my reading, I did it because bordem set in, and there was nothing else to do. As I read more and more, though, I began to learn things, and my eyes were really open to a lot of things.

I am in the process of reading two books right now, and they are truly wonderful books. The first book is, Living a Life of Fire by Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. I have had this book for quite some time, but I just recently picked it back up. This book is mind blowing, amazing, raw, emotional, just completely wonderful. The words and examples that Bonnke uses really provokes emotion. Whether it being happy, sad, mad, excited, and so on and so forth. The second book that I am reading is A Diary of Signs and Wonders by Maria Woodworth-Etter. Woodworth-Etter's book is simply amazing. All of the stories, struggles, strengths, and everything else just capture you and push you on to read more.

What I want to get out of writing this blog is what my title states. Reading, Learning, and Wanting. Reading these books has taught me so incredibly much, and has really opened my eyes to things I just couldn't see before. After I put one of these books down after reading, I feel a sudden sense of wanting to do what these two people have done. I want to be used as a vessel for the Lord. I want to be used as God's healing hand. I want to change this world in ways these people have.

I guess you could say that I'm ready. I'm ready to be that vessel, I'm ready to be that healing hand. I'm ready to live a radical life on fire for Jesus, and do something out of my daily "normal". I'm taking that extra step, and I'm letting my light shine a little brighter.

Are you?

  1. That last paragraph is one of the best things I've ever read. Pumped that you're ready and striving for something big - and not just "when the time comes" - but right now. Remember, some parts of following God aren't miracles and teaching, Jesus was crucified. Be prepared to carry your cross right up after him.
